Lee Blansett
Lee Blansett has been an active participant in the US healthcare system for more than 20 years. His research into health system organizations and oncology market access topics includes extensive on-the-ground studies in the US and EU. Lee’s previous work includes internal consulting roles with APM, Kaiser Permanente, Stanford Children’s Hospital, and a community oncology group. His work on manufacturers’ behalf includes serving as a Senior Vice President at DaVinci Oncology/Kantar and as a Senior Principal with the IMS Consulting Group. His academic training includes an MBA from the Wharton School and a BSC in finance from Santa Clara University, where he was a National Merit Scholar.

Cindy Chen
Cindy Chen oversees MARIN's quantitative research initiatives in oncology and assists with our clinical evidence initiative, exploring payer data requirements for coverage of gene therapies and other products addressing rare diseases. Cindy has worked with multiple global life sciences companies while at Strategic Decisions Group, IMS Consulting Group, and as an independent consultant. She has helped pharmaceutical companies evaluate development strategies for pipeline candidates, supported long-term strategic planning, and optimized portfolios of development and in-market franchises. Cindy holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, a bachelor’s in business administration from the Haas School at UC Berkeley and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Chris Van Denburg
Chris Van Denburg’s career focuses entirely on studying the healthcare system and its adoption of novel treatments. His work over the last two decades has covered the spectrum of market access, including roles in market research, data analytics, marketing, pricing and contracting, operations, training, special pharmacy partnership programs, and patient support services. His corporate experience includes both large and small biopharmaceutical companies, in addition to serving as an external consultant to several companies.
Chris holds a bachelor's degree from Ithaca College, and has direct oncology laboratory and clinical research experience at the Strang-Cornell Cancer Research Laboratory and Strang Cancer Prevention Center.

Emma Bijesse
Emma Bijesse supports MARIN's quantitative and qualitative research with over 10 years of experience supporting academic health systems and integrated delivery networks. Emma’s previous experience includes leading strategy engagements as an Associate Principal at Chartis, including oncology service line growth planning, partnership support, and financial forecasting and analyses. Prior to Chartis, Emma supported genetic testing and population health management programs at Kaiser Permanente. Emma holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where she majored in finance and operations. She also received a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Daniel Buchenberger
Daniel Buchenberger brings practical insights to the MARIN team with significant experience supporting pharmaceutical, device and diagnostic manufacturers with their HEOR, Market Access, and Commercialization needs. Daniel's previous experience includes deep therapy area expertise in rare disease, oncology and surgical interventions as well as leading the technical execution of strategic engagements at boutique Market Access and HEOR consulting firms.
Daniel holds a MS degree in Health Informatics from University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Professional Certificate in HEOR from the University of Washington.

Ashutosh Sheth
Ashutosh supports HMP Market Access Insights, leveraging his expertise in the health care system and in assisting pharmaceutical and device manufacturers with their market access and commercialization needs. Ashutosh’s background includes oncology market access, commercial strategy, and oncology clinical research at life sciences consulting firms. Additionally, he brings a strong experience leading clinical research teams.
Ashutosh holds an MPH in Health Policy & Management from Columbia University, an MS in Physiology from Case Western Reserve University, and a BA in History of Art & Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley.
